Technology

This quarter has been a bit hectic. I didn't get that much free time this year. The thing I disliked the most was probably the vocabulary. It was easy, but it took a while to think of the sentences. The best part was probably doing the pixel art. I'm glad this class barely ever gave homework because in all my other classes I would get a lot of homework.

Everyone is Special

I have to say I agree that everyone deserves to be special. You wouldn't like to be an ordinary person would you. Would you like to have an ordinary life where you do the same thing every day the same way.Or would you like to have a life where you do something different at least once in a while.I'm saying it could be boring not to be or not have something special. Everyone deserves a chance to be special.

Video Games

Video games are my favorite pass time. There are so many different kinds of video games. There's action,adventure,warfare,first person shooters, third person shooters, motion games, and lots more. I like to play mostly first person shooters and adventure games. My favorite game right now is Call of Duty Ghosts. You start out as a man named Logan with his brother Hesh and father Elias.

If I was in this confusing spot I would have to choose the 4th door. Why you might ask; it's because its in the middle. You don't know what would happen so just go for the middle door. I would want to be taken to Hogwarts castle because it seems the most interesting place. There are wizards and witches all about practicing magic.

Bottled Memory

The memory I would bottle up would be the memory of Christmas 2012.
 I would probably open it every week.
As soon as i would open the bottle it would smell of cinnamon and sweets. It would be a bit cold from just waking up. Everybody would be opening gifts while sitting around the tree. The tree was short, fake, and white but was still beautiful with its red decorations. It was the best Christmas I've had yet.

My name is Victor Downey. What I like to do is play video games. I play almost all kinds games. Some titles are Call of Duty, Super Mario Bros., Halo, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Minecraft. That's just some of the video games I play. I also like to use computers when I can. I usually just get on YouTube, but sometimes I search for mods for Minecraft. My favorite mod is the more explosives mod that adds in stuff like grenades and missiles.

I've lived all my life in Festus. I think it's a great place, but that's just my opinion. I've been making good grades. I'm also in Pre Algebra. Math is my favorite subject so far this year. I basically just like technology, science, and math. I also enjoy reading fiction, but I only occasionally read non-fiction.

My past experiences with technology in the past weren't that great. I'm better with computers now that I'm older. What I like about computers is that you can use them for nearly anything. You can send e-mails, make slide shows, and even shop. What I don't like about computers is the fact that they can glitch. I hope one day one of the essentials in like is a robot

Technology Class

I'm a slow worker as well as a slow typer. I did like most of the projects we did like the movie maker projects, I actually learned how to use movie maker in this class. This class did help me on my typing speed a little, but not by much. I wish I could have gotten the project done quicker. I learned how to put music in power points and movie maker. I also wish I was a faster typer otherwise this would be finished.

Almost Ready

I'm almost ready for the show on Tuesday. Just have a few more things to add to my performance. I am already beatboxing part of Thrift Shop and Seven Nation Army. I just need to practice those a few more times and a few other things too. I also need to work on performing in front of other people. I am actually really nervous. Surprise Adventure

Last Summer I was on a beach in Florida and a boat slowly drifted into the shore. I was just reading my book, minding my own business, when a man yells from the boat, "Hey you! I have a map that may lead to some treasure and I need some help, are you in?" This man was a pirate (or at least I thought he was) and he asked me for help. I went along with him and he took me to the middle of the sea to an island. When we got there other pirates were there too. He handed me a sword and told me to fight them for the treasure. After that he lead me a trap door that lead to the treasure. We loaded the treasure and hightailed it outta there!

Variety Show

Auditions for the Variety Show were last Monday and Wednesday. I auditioned Wednesday, and made it. The judges, although beatboxing was new to most of them, thought it was pretty cool. It just needed to be longer of course. The Variety Show is May 21, 2013. That means I have about a week and a half to put together a minute-and-a-half beatbox that the audience will like. That's pretty hard for a beatboxer who isn't pro yet. I'm a little nervous.

Santa Failed This Time

One Christmas eve Santa Clause fell asleep a few hours so he could stay up and give present out all night. He woke up a little late and a little angry that no one woke him up before then. A New Species

Beatboxing

I beatbox. I have been beatboxing for at least 2 years now. I beatbox pretty much everywhere I go. In the hallways at school, in classrooms, at home, and even in the shower. Yet some people still don't know that I can beatbox. A lot of people know my brother. He can beatbox better than I can. Only because he's 3 years older than I am and has had more experience.

I would definitely want a rewind button in my life because some things i Just want to do again. Some things I want to fix in my life too. Even though I am only 14 years old I still have made quite a few mistakes. I would go back and make things right. I would also want to help other people with mistakes they have made in their life. Mowing the lawn

I still need to mow the lawn. I've been asked to cut the grass already this week and I haven't been able to. I had a track meet on Tuesday, I couldn't yesterday because it was raining, I have a track meet today, and the dance is on Friday. I have to cut the grass on Sunday because of a Saturday birthday party. I have been busy all week and the busiest day has yet to come.

Day off of School

I deserve a day off of school because I need some time to get done the loads of homework that I take home every day. I also need to go over the Algebra lessons we have done because I still can't seem to remember how to do a lot of the things we do. I also need a day to read and get caught up on AR because I am still at 0% of my AR goal. I wish I could have that day off; I really need it.

Money, Again

Runnin low on money again and there is a couple of things I need to pay for. The dance is next Friday and I'm going to have to borrow money for that. My girlfriend wants to go out to eat or something before we go to the dance so I need money for that too. I also need to pay for a couple of other things that I can't think of off the top of my head right now. I'm sure, with my luck, I'll think of after I get off of this.

If I was the president, I would do plenty of things. I would lower tax rates and gas prices. I would take down factories that are releasing gases into the air because that is a big part of global warming. Track Meet

Our first track meet is today. It's a practice meet to see who will be in the real meets. I'm a thrower and I still need to work on a few things on discus and maybe shot put. I really have no idea how well or how far I'm gonna throw either of them. I hope I can release the discus at the right time at the right angle. On shot put I just need to work on the follow through and leaning forward far enough to throw far enough.

Life is like a really long train ride. It goes on and on making very few stops on the way. sometimes there are problems with how it goes by, but life always finds a way to get fuel and keep it going. Today

My day so far has gone terrible so far. First I was almost late for school. Then I lost my flash drive in the hallways somewhere. Now I have to start my tech project all over again. I also have tons of homework to do tonight and the lanyard with my flash drive on it has the key to my house on and I don't feel so good in my throat area. Thursdays are bad days for me.

Gas Station Bust-In

I busted into the gas station for a good reason. I saw a couple of robbers in the local gas station as I was walking home. I called the police and told them about, but I realized they would get away before  the cops showed up. when I tried to get inside the robber locked the doors behind them, so I did something I probably shouldn't have. I busted the glass door. After I finally made a hole big enough to get inside, the robbers got away in their get-away van and the cops showed up. that's when I got arrested.

The Things I Liked and Learned in 8th Grade Tech Class

The things I learned in technology this quarter were mostly things in Microsoft word. Like one thing was I didn't know anything about cropping pictures. From the biography project I learned a lot about Th Rolling Stones history and what they went through and how success they were. I liked that project the best.

Careers in Computers

Skryim

I'm still learning about this game I got for PS3 called Skyrim. Most people may not know about this game so the next few sentences may or may not make sense to the reader. I just learned that you can unlock dragon shouts by pressing the square button on the remote. I thought you had to collect a certain number of dragon souls to unlock them but now i know that it only take one soul per shout.

High School Registration

I'm not sure what classes I want to take next year. There is a lot to choose from. Like I don't know if I should take Spanish or not because I am not that advanced in CA so I don't know how well I will do in that class. There is also Shop class. I'm not sure if I have enough room in my schedule to take that class. I don't know for sure if I want the Honors diploma.

I got robbed! I came home the other day and everything was stolen! Well except this one thing. My pillow was laying in the middle of the living room. The pillow case was not even on the pillow. Only the pillow was there. Th police think it is some kind of clue. They talked to an investigator and found out that the robbers do that to all of there victims!

Blank Mind

Sometimes I get a blank mind, but sometimes I don't. Like right now I have a blank mind on what to blog about. That's why I'm writing about this. Some people think that the one part that connects  the end to your hand is an inch, but doesn't that change as you grow? When you grow pretty much everything get bigger on your body. Does your thumb not grow with the rest of your body? It could be up to 2 inches if it grows enough! So maybe people should start measuring their thumbs.

Typing

I'm a slow typer and I really need to practice. I've been typing at home but it hasn't really helped. Usually I only use one finger on each hand, but I'm trying to use all of my fingers. Every time I'm typing something I accidentally press a different key. That really annoys me. Especially when I have a whole paragraph to type. Sometimes I just forget where the keys are on the keyboard. Like just now I forgot where the "J" was.

My Favorite Memory

My favorite memory was when I saw my dad for the first time in five years. It was over Christmas break, we had an epic snowball fight. My dad, my brother and I built a snowman and two snow forts. We had a great time and if I could bottle it up I would open it up any time I had free time.

I a reading the book Catching Fire. It's pretty good so far, but  I haven'ta gotten to the exciting part yet. Why are the beginnings of books always boring? I'm only on like page 37 and it is pretty boring, but how the author describe things is pretty good. I can get a pretty good picture in my head about what every thing looks like.

School On Veteran's Day

 

I think the district is right about having school on Veteran's Day. Some people need to be reminded what veterans had done for our country. They need to know what sacrifice they made to serve in the army. Having school to learn about veterans is very important, but thats what I think. We have enough days off school and we don't need any more.

Death to PS2

The PS2 lasted 12 years before Sony stopped making them in 2012. Sony may have come out with a new system, the PS3, but they sold about 150 million PS2's in the world. That's more than any other system ever made. The PS3 came out in 2006 and sold about 70 million since then. That at doesn't come close to the sales of the PS2. Some say a new system, the PS4, is coming out in a couple of years and it may be the last.

I just got 55 bucks and there is a lot of things I want to buy but I don't know what to buy. I need a new pair of head phones, a new MP3, and a SD card. All of these things are too expensive to buy at once, like I said I only have $55 and I can't decide. I wish I could get more money some how. Decisions decisions.

My Dad

Over the Christmas break I saw my dad for the first time in five years. The reason is that he is in the army and is away for long periods of time. He has been to Iraq and back at least three or four times. My parents are divorced and I barely get to talk to him over the phone.
